William Ward

Bill is a partner at Ward & Myers LLP. Bill was born in El Paso, Texas and began practicing law in 1979 with the firm of Kerr, Fitz-Gerald & Kerr. He was a founding member and formerly practiced with Morgan, Ward & Leeton, LLP (1984-1995) and Kerr & Ward, LLP (1995-2010). Bill and Charles formed Ward & Myers LLP in September of 2010.

Bill has focused primarily in the areas of Family Law, Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning, Probate and Business Litigation and practices in numerous counties of West Texas. He maintains an AV Preeminent Rating with the Martindale Hubbell publications. Bill graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.B.A. in Accounting and Texas Tech University School of Law.

Charles Myers

Charles is a partner at Ward & Myers LLP. Charles was born in Big Spring and began his legal career there with Mouton, Mouton & Myers, P.C.; where he practiced civil trial work. In Howard County, Charles was the youngest president of the Howard County Bar Association. Upon moving to Midland, Charles joined the firm of Kerr & Ward as a partner. Charles and Bill Ward left that firm to create Ward & Myers LLP in 2010.

Charles is board certified in the area of family law, including child custody, divorce, modifications, support, and adoption. He has tried numerous cases in front of both judges and juries throughout West Texas. He currently works in Midland, Ector and surrounding counties, including Howard, Andrews, Dawson, Upton, Crane, Reeves, Winkler, Gaines, Terry and Glasscock.

Charles is a member of the Midland County Bar Association and has been elected as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, a group that comprises less than 1% of all lawyers in Texas. Charles graduated from Texas Tech with a B.B.A. in Finance and Baylor Law School and has practiced in West Texas for almost 20 years.

Leah Robertson

Leah has been living and practicing law in Midland since 2007. She loves west Texas and is very involved in our community. Leah served in the U.S. Army as an Avionics Mechanic and while stationed in Germany was deployed briefly to Kosovo as part of an international peacekeeping effort. After her service in the U.S. Army, Leah completed her bachelors and law degree. During the first stages of her law career, she was a prosecutor for five years under the Midland District Attorney, where she became a trial team chief and led prosecutions of misdemeanors and felonies. After her time as an Assistant District Attorney, Leah transitioned to being the in-house attorney for Midland Independent School District, a position she held for six years.

Now, as of counsel at Ward & Myers, Leah focuses on family law, estate planning, employment law and criminal law. Leah serves on the Safe Place of the Permian Basin board, the Midland Community Theatre board and the Carver Center board. Leah was chosen as one of the top 20 Under 40 young professionals in 2016 . Leah has also participated in Leadership Midland and Leadership Texas.

Cassie Emanuel

Cassie Emanuel was raised in Lubbock, Texas, and moved to Midland in 2012. She graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a B.A. In Human Services with a specialization of Criminal Justice. She is the legal assistant and office manager of Ward & Myers LLP. Cassie is married to John Emanuel, who is a Senior Vice President at Security Bank, and they have three boys.
